Dark Go – Seeking Revenge: Prologue

Waiting in the shadows her muscles were relaxed as if no tension was there at all but her body was ready to move and react at lightning speed if she needed to. The wooden door with the small window in upper third of it guarded her from being seen. Minutes slowly passed as her slow yet soft breath left her delicate lips, the air was cold. It was chilly outside but yet she wore her usual clothes. They were not helping against heat or cold but they were practical and that was all that counted. A body could endure anything for a given amount of time and comfort was not included in her contract.

Her body stiffened slightly as she, for the last time, checked her watch. The agreed time had come, she now had to carry out what she was assigned to do. Silently opening the door she sneaked out of the shadows into the dimly illuminated corridor. Sharp clacking sounds attracted her attention to the furthermost door , there the target was. Her steps were not audible to the slightest but that was for her, a professional trained assassin, no problem, no feat at all. She pressed her cheek onto the door from where the sounds came, confirming what she knew beforehand. Two persons. One target.

Her eyes sparkled with anticipation as she dispatched the combat knife from her back. A slender yet solid weapon with two razor-sharp blades, the handle perfectly fitting into her graceful palms. As if her victim knew of her intentions in advance. The lock cracked under the impact of here combat knife and the door flung open, opposing her to the bright light in the Japanesy decorated room. A tall, slender European shaped boy turned around to see what was going on, but his eyes could only widen in shock before the dull side of her knife knocked him unconscious. Turning the knife in her hand, the steel blade flashed in the light as she finished her job.
